Position Summary
- Work with us as a Hospitality Attendant while you get your CNA certification, fully funded by us.
- We are looking for candidates who are self-starters, and fully motivated to assist residents. The successful candidate will be a caring, compassionate, team player that will apply a hospitality approach to create a safe, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents.
Applicants must be willing and able to complete a CNA course in one of two ways:
Option 1 – Traditional Hospitality Path – To be transitioned to CNA within 3-4 months
- Will work as a Hospitality Attendant to become familiar with the work environment and tasks
- Will be registered to complete a CNA class appropriate to your learning style and schedule needs
- Will be promoted to CNA upon completion of CNA training
Option 2 – Fast Track to CNA – To be transitioned to CNA within 2-4 weeks
- Will be immediately registered for an online CNA course
- Will be allowed up to 50-hours on the clock to complete online training
- Will be moved to the floor upon successful completion of training and certification
In this role you will:
- Work side-by-side with licensed nursing staff to perform non-nursing, non-direct resident care duties to ensure residents are provided a safe and homelike stay.
- Be alert to residents’ comfort and needs.
- Answer call lights in a timely manner, determine if the request does not involve direct care and then carry out the request. Examples of non-direct care would be, helping with TV, telephone, getting a personal item for a resident, giving them a blanket or pillow, giving them a food tray or snack, or refilling water/ice.
- Carry out assigned tasks routinely and with a joyful attitude. Tasks will include responding to call lights, meal and snack pass, light cleaning, making beds, filling waters, stocking supplies, passing linens, and assisting residents to and from meals and activities.
- Assure that established infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained when providing care. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
Qualified candidates will have:
- A passion for working with people and an ability to handle everyday challenges with a smile!
- Commitment to interacting professionally and with care toward residents, families, and other team members
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in writing, in person, and over the phone.
- Ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds and walk/stand frequently with or without reasonable accommodations.
